We have the honor of inviting you to the III Scientific Conference of the Spanish Phelan-McDermid Syndrome Association, which will be held at the Biomedical Research Park in Barcelona, on June 28 and 29, 2025.

This conference aims to inform families, scientists, physicians, therapists, and students about the latest advances in research and treatment of this syndrome.

We aim to create a dynamic forum for discussing and sharing the latest research and advancements in Phelan-McDermid syndrome. This event will provide a valuable opportunity for professionals to exchange insights and for attendees to better understand the key challenges faced by individuals with the syndrome and their families.

Throughout the conference, participants will have the opportunity to hear from leading experts in Phelan-McDermid syndrome. Attendees will also gain insight directly from therapeutic companies at the forefront of developing groundbreaking treatments, including gene-based therapies, for this rare genetic disorder.

In addition, we aim to provide a platform for students and researchers working on Phelan-McDermid syndrome or the SHANK3 gene to share their findings by presenting posters during the conference.

Families will have the opportunity to schedule one-on-one meetings with geneticists with expertise in Phelan-McDermid syndrome to help them understand their child’s genetic reports.

Simultaneous translation will be available in several languages to facilitate the participation of families from other countries.
