Dear Investigator,

We are very excited about the 2025 Phelan-McDermid Syndrome Congress!

A poster reception will be held during the II CureSHANK Symposium on June 26 2025, 17:30-20:00. We invite all students and investigators conducting research with translational relevance  to Phelan-McDermid syndrome or the SHANK3 gene to present a poster.  We encourage submissions of clinical research, preclinical research, biomarker development and basic science that elucidates disease mechanisms that could be amenable to treatment. Only CureSHANK Symposium attendees are eligible to participate in this poster session.

For your poster to be considered, please send us an abstract of your work, with the following sections: Title, Authors, Affiliations, Introduction and Objectives, Methods, Results and Conclusions. The body of the abstract (Introduction, Methods, Results and Conclusions) should not exceed 300 words. Abstracts and posters must be in English.

Deadline for abstract submission: May 31st.

The scientific committee will review and select the abstracts for presentation.

Notification of selected abstracts: June 9th.

We will inform you of the format and dimensions of the poster once it has been selected.

Poster presenters may submit up to $500 of travel expenses to be reimbursed by CureSHANK.
